Now THAT is service!!!

A huge kudos to both the City and County Clerk's Offices this morning, for two or three different reasons!

First, the County Clerk's office sent me this at 7:45 this morning:
Brenda-
For some reason Gordon Shea (candidate for District 20 supervisor) was left off the list you got yesterday. I'm attaching the corrected list. So sorry for the inconvenience!

Judy
County Clerk's Office
That's pretty cool that
a) They acted so quickly.
b) They made sure the got people the correct information.
c) They are so pleasant to work with. Seriously.

Second, the City Clerk's Office. I'm really bothered that people knew already on Monday, and who knows how much sooner, that Pham-Remmele would be gone for the meeting and no one I asked seems to know why. So, I did an open records request to find out when the council office, the clerk's office and certain alders knew. I made that request at 7:18 this morning and got a response from them by 8:35. Actually, I got three responses from their office.

And, for the record, the council office got me some, if not all the info by 9:15. Still clarifying.

Kudos to all!

  1. The County Clerk's office has always been top-notch. They're one of the better local governmental departments to work with.

  2. They were very apologetic, polite, & understanding, and apparently made every effort to correct their inadvertent error.

And they must have been very busy about 7:45 a.m., too, because as they were calling you, Brenda, Bob Ohlsen was also personally calling me (and having someone else in his office follow up by e-mail). I appreciate their efforts to correct a simple human mistake.
