  1. How apt! Now that Mark Olinger is leaving, perhaps
Mayor hyper-density, big/tall buildings Cieslewicze can get his way.

It's interesting that the Beverly Hills planning dept. makes a point about preserving sky with set backs and height restrictions. Our Mayor MoreMore Density would like to have everything go straight up from the sidewalk and cram as many people into as small a space as possible.

Driving past Sequoya Commons this morning it was jarring to see what was a pretty tree lined boulevard unnecessarily intruded by a building that looms over the sidewalk.

  2. my hometown. i've come full circle. i have fond memories of my dad getting pissed off at the city of beverly hills when we wanted to expand our house. our small family business that my mom started is still there after 30 some-odd years. i'm forwarding this to my family, some of whom still live and work in bh.

  3. This should be required viewing for EVERY ALDER who voted to overturn the Landmarks Commission's decision (with the absurd rationale that requiring a developer to build within our longstanding Landmarks ordinance would create a "hardship" for that developer).

Is this the future you really want to create?
