200 block E Mifflin - Huge Building, Several Demolitions

Wow! This project is back . . . interesting use of the word "preservation" . . .
James Madison Park Neighborhood Meeting
Proposed Developments in the 200 Block of East Mifflin Street
ThursdayMonday, September 21st, 7 - 9:00 pm
Gates of Heaven - Corner of East Gorham and N. Butler Street.

You are invited to learn about and give feedback to conceptual renderings being offered by Apex Enterprises, Inc. for prospective new developments in the 200 Block of East Mifflin Street, and the preservation of the Frank Lloyd Wright Lamp House on that block.

Concepts include:

. The possible redevelopment of the entire block on the south side of East Mifflin while saving the Lamp House in the center of the block;
. The development of a multi-family building on top of the McCormick Parking Ramp.

  1. I wish they would write it as "McCormick [Capitol Square North] Parking Ramp"--does anyone call it the "McCormick" ramp any more? None of the signs on it have said that in the last 7 years or more, and new people in town have no clue what that means.
